Hear from Veronica M. Jones, M.D.

Dr. Veronica M. Jones, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, with interests in improving breast surgery outcomes, reducing healthcare disparities, and enhancing decision-making in healthcare. Dr. Jones earned her medical degree at the University of Louisville and completed a general surgery residency at Wake Forest University. She completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a research fellowship at Wake Forest University. Dr. Jones has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on breast cancer, mentored and taught medical students, and volunteered at a hernia surgery camp in Malawi, where she performed over a dozen surgeries.
